Bruno Fernandes Wants To Work With New Manchester United Manager Ruben Amorim
Fernandes Speaks Highly of Amorim's Player Relationship and Coaching Style.
Bruno Fernandes is looking forward to the appointment of Manchester United's new head coach Ruben Amorim , the manager who took over his old club Sporting Lisbon. Fernandes, who is on international duty now, will return to United next week to begin working with Amorim, who he believes brings an individual, player-centred philosophy.
Ever since moving from Lisbon to Manchester himself, Fernandes has watched Sporting's development closely. Amorim arrived in the middle of a season where Sporting hadn't won a league title since 2002 and under his reign they won both 2021 and 2024. He departs Sporting in fine form, on an 11-game winning streak in the Portuguese league and vying for the Champions League.
A Coach Who Believes In His Players
Fernandes told ManUtd.com that Amorim was dedicated to his players and expressed how heartbroken Amorim had been by fans and players following Sporting's 4-1 win over Manchester City in his final home game. "The most amazing thing is the relationship he has with his players," Fernandes said. You could see it when they said goodbye to him. He obviously is one of those guys who gives everything to the guys."
Fernandes has always admired Amorim's devotion to his team, particularly in difficult times. "I know there were moments when players weren't playing well but he believed in them," he told me. 'He defends his players publicly, always bringing them up to par.
Amorim's control of a young Sporting team has also impressed Fernandes. He feels the new boss's coaching philosophy will be a perfect fit for United, given his experience working with the club's promising young stars. Fernandes is up to the challenge of providing veteran experience and help Amorim in ensuring that all players are doing their best.
Fernandes' optimism and drive is a testament to the hope surrounding Amorim's arrival, who should allow United to learn from a manager who instilled in his players confidence and dedication.
