New reports show Arteta wants to sign Danilo from Juventus to fix Arsenal's defensive needs

According to reports Mikel Arteta wants to bring back a Manchester City player into Arsenal's team this winter. Based on his latest remarks Manager Mikel Arteta signals major changes are coming to his team.
Arteta's Dilemma with Partey’s Role
The Gunners failed to maintain solid performance this season as they drew 2-2 against Aston Villa at home. Despite having an early advantage Villa scored an equalizer because Partey lost his focus during defense. The 31-year-old was criticized for losing track of Ollie Watkins, leading to the goal.
According to Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson Partey's concentration issues were shocking yet again this season. Partey made the same defensive blunder twice this season - first against Chelsea and then versus Tottenham last week.
Arteta shares publicly about the difficulties of using Partey in positions besides his usual role. He said openly about his team selection strategy before Arsenal's match versus Dinamo Zagreb. The only right-back available to me was Jurrien Timber so I had to use him. Who plays when Jurrien isn’t available?”
Arsenal Target Juventus Defender Danilo
New reports show Arteta wants to sign Danilo from Juventus to fix Arsenal's defensive needs. At 33 years old the Brazilian defender who played for Manchester City brings defensive strength to Arsenal. As a flexible player Danilo can play both right and left back positions which is something Thomas Partey has not mastered.
Several Brazilian clubs want to sign Danilo which could make his transfer to Arsenal difficult. At 33 years old Danilo would bring valuable defense experience that Arsenal's team desperately needs.
The Bigger Picture for Arsenal
The Arsenal team needs more players than just Partey's replacement. The team has failed to win important matches because their attacking efforts lack innovation and scoring power. Arteta confirmed that Arsenal needs to buy a forward player due to their nine-point distance from Liverpool in the Premier League standings.
The smart move would be to bring Danilo to the team even though it doesn't create a lot of excitement. The Arsenal fanbase trusts that Arteta's transfer moves in January will give their team a better chance to win the league and fix defensive problems.
