Competition format of Korean K League 1

In the Korean K League 1, teams play against each other twice during the season - once at home and once away. Points are awarded for wins (3) and draws (1), determining the final league positions.

The team finishing in 1st place qualifies for AFC Champions League Elite, offering them a chance to advance their competitive standing.

Teams finishing in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th places qualify for Championship Round, allowing them to test themselves at a higher tier.
